Zydax Temperature Sensor

This stand alone sensor is second to none for accuracy and durability. It, with supplied software, has the ability to control heaters, coolers, humidifiers, etc. (see note 7)

Zydax sensors report actual surface temperature, as well as pavement temperature at – 1.75 (4.5 cm) inches below the surface.
Drop Down temperature sensors can be added to provide additional subsurface, water or other temperatures. Hundreds of them can be added and cable lengths of up to 4000 feet are accommodated without any special considerations.
This device is an intelligent sensor and can be used to control and collect data from other devices such as cameras. It can serve as a “Master” or “Slave” sensor.
This sensor can turn devices such as signs or spray systems on with internal intelligence and user set parameters. This can be done with or without monitoring of the device.
Can serve as a stand alone or slave sensor only.
Requires RPU or a Zydax intelligent sensor to operate.

Everblades® work with the existing vehicle defroster system to give drivers a clearer vision for safer driving in adverse weather conditions all year long. Everblades® heated windshield wiper blades have a heating element inside the silicon rubber squeegee. The heat is activated through the switch provided and wired to any vehicle’s 12 volt electrical system. Heated windshield wiper blades actually melt the ice and snow away and ensure excellent all weather driving vision!

The first successful and proven heated wiper blades, now with improved squeegee design, engineered silicon rubber compound, 18 gauge automotive wire, and lighted heavy duty toggle switch!

Simply flip the illuminated on/off switch and Everblades® will electrically heat the wiper blades to melt ice and snow build-up before it freezes to the blades. A calibrated heating element radiates through the silicon rubber blade keeping the wiper free of ice and snow.

The same properties that enable Everblades® to withstand the temperatures generated by the heating element provide superior wiping performance all year long with or without heat. Everblades® reach a temperature of 200°F. Even at 40°F below zero Everblades® maintain enough heat to prevent ice from accumulating on the blades! Current draw ranges from 3 to 6 amps (36 series and 56HC series) and 5 to 12 amps (66 series) depending on the blade length.

Typical installation of the hardwired kit takes minimal time and requires only basic tools. Genuine Everblades® refills are available for 36 series and 56HC series. Complete replacement blade assemblies are available for all series. Refills are installed much the same as on conventional wiper systems with the addition of wire connector plug in and wire fastening with zip ties.

The Frost jet^TM heats the windshield washer fluid as it is passed on to the wiper blades. The Frost jet^TM is a small washer fluid heating system that raises the temperature of the fluid to 140°F. Simply mount it in the engine compartment, plug the existing washer hoses into the unit and connect to battery. A “smart sensor” built into the Frost jet^TM turns the unit on and off automatically dependent upon battery voltage. Two models are currently available depending on the application. A 50 amp unit with 6′ battery harness for cars and pickups with gas engines and a 90 amp unit with 15′ harness for heavy duty trucks with diesel engines. Once the vehicle has been started, an 8 second burst of heated windshield washer fluid will clear frost, ice and salt water film from the windshield allowing for clear visibility when driving. DICKEY- john has had enough over-the-road experience with the Frost jet^TM to determine that it is a very viable product; with proven performance and safety benefits for the end-user under the worst road and winter conditions.

Valeo Universal Rocker Switches and Column Switches are strong and reliable. They are especially suitable for use in rugged environments. The Universal Switches are available in locking and non-locking versions, single and double throw, and single and double pole. Universal Rocker Switches are available for use in 12V and 24V systems.

A. Basic Rocker Switch Types:

The Valeo Catalog offers detailed information on each switch type. The 511 Line of switches is described explicity and completely. These illustrations apply to 512’s, 516’s 521’s, 523’s and 531’s. Anyone of these types can be ordered in any switch configuration, subject to limitations below. Minimum order quantities may apply for a switch with few other users.

LED Lighting can be substituted in any switch configuration. The resulting assembly will be given a custom part number.

Switch Assemblies are most commonly ordered with the desired lens inserted and other configuration changes made as needed in-house. These assemblies are given custom part numbers.

The 511 Line: The basic 511 switches are listed by number in the Valeo Catalog. 511 switches have smooth retaining clips. They are illuminated with incandescent lamps.
The 512 Line: 512 switches are identical to 511 switches except that the retaining clips are corrugated. They are suitable for use under rough conditions where the switch must be firmly fixed in the dash. Switches are not removable from the front.
The 516 Line: 516 switches have corrugated retaining clips like 512’s, but designed to fit Packard-style connectors.
The 521 Line: 521 switches are identical to 511 switches, but have newer ergonomic key design. Lens size is the same as 511 switches. No locking versions are available in 521 switches. They are illuminated with incandescent lamps.
The 523 Line: 523 switches are identical to 521 switches, except for the illumination. They are illuminated with LEDs instead of incandescent bulbs.
The 524 Line: 524 switches are identical to 521 switches, but with corrugated retaining clips. They have the Ergonomic key and illumination is incandescent bulb.
The 531 Line: 531 switches have the Ergonomic key. LED lighting replaces incandescent bulbs. No locking versions are available. Mounting dimensions are the same as the 511 switches, but the 531 switch is less deep than the 511 switch.
The 533 Line: 522 switches are completely restyled. They have unitary keys and laser etched symbols. The mounting dimensions are the same as 511-type., but 533 switches are less deep than 511 switches. 511 series lenses will not fit 533 series switches.

B. Diffusers:

Switches sold without lamps are also sold without diffusers, and are labeled “..” in the catalog.
Lighting type “A” indicates the switch is sold with no diffuser.
Lighting type “B” indicates the switch is sold with a solid diffuser.
Lighting type “C” indicates the switch is sold with a partial or “window” diffuser.

C. Reflectors:

Pilot Lamps are sold with or without reflectors.

D. Other Accessories:

Mounting Frames, transparent protective covers, ans connector housings
are also available. The line includes a thermostat and a pulse generator.

E. Specifications for Universal Rocker Switches:

Electrical performance: From 20 mA to 16 A at 12V. From 20 mA to 8A at 24V.
511 type switches are dust and spray-water protected to IP 67 according to DIN40050.
Switches are 48 hour corrosion tested to DIN 50021-SS (socket housing for connection to cable harness excepted.)
Switch visual range per E. C. E. Reg. 21.
Temperature stability: -40° C to 80° C

F. Lenses for Valeo Switches:

Standard sized lenses fit Product Line 511 through 531. Lenses are produced in two ways: silk-screened and hand stamped. Lenses may be produced with the symbols rotated in any of four orientations, and in five standard colors and seven non-standard colors. A wide variety of standard international Lens symbols are illustrated in the Valeo Catalog. Lenses for the 533 Product Line will be Laser Etched and symbol lenses will be resized.

The System

The GL3000PMC Guidance laser uses an “ultra-bright” green laser spot to establish wing plow trailing edge location before you get there.

The laser spot impacts on the road/snow surface ahead of the truck and shows the driver where the wing plow trailing edge will be. The laser reference spot is on the road and in the driver’s normal field of view.

The GL3000PMC laser is electronically designed for cold weather operation. This laser is coupled to a special heat source for the exit window to reduce or eliminate ice build-up on the front of the laser output lens. The GL3000PMC also has a unique pneumatic snow removal system incorporated with the laser housing that automatically fires a blast of air at the front of the laser lens every 5 seconds. This removes snow build-up front the laser output lens.

The GL3000PMC is a class IIIA ultra bright green laser with 5mW of power. Green is most visible to the eye in all working conditions. The GL3000PMC laser is CFR21-1040 compliant and meets all federal and OSHA standards for operation.
